If there were a world record for potholes, damaged sidewalks, and burned-out traffic lights, Sao Paulo would hold it. Using that stark reality, I thought to myself, how could we make people more engaged in the problems of their cities?
That's how CityEyes was born.
It turns any citizen's smartphone into an eyewitness by allowing them to record, document, and submit instances of infrastructural damage to the proper authorities in their region.
A pinpointed map on the app will keep track of these problems by using a proprietary algorithm, ranking the damage by importance and priority.
